1695 personal and 417 company bankruptcies declared

​Record numbers of personal and sole trader bankruptcies
 

​The number of personal bankruptcies declared in January reached 1 695 cases, about 399 more than in December 2012. It is the highest number since records of personal bankruptcies began in January 2008. By contrast, the number of applications for personal bankruptcy has gone down, to 1 862.  The number of declared company bankruptcies was 417, about one-third more than a month ago. More than 68% of company bankruptcies related to sole traders. The number of applications for company bankruptcy increased in comparison to December 2012; about 32 cases out of 833 proposals. These are the results from the latest CRIF – Czech Credit Bureau company analysis.
